Since its creation, Surmesur has always been committed to giving back to its community, and has been involved in a number of charitable causes and events. In particular, the company has donated over $75,000 to the fight against prostate cancer thanks to the sale of an exclusive tie through its network of boutiques.
In 2018, with the help of Catherine Savoie, the company's CFO and Vincent's wife, the Surmesur Foundation was born to concretely get involved with young people's education and personal success. A number of fund-raising activities were successfully carried out, enabling the foundation to award scholarships to young student-athletes, contribute to the construction of soccer fields in Burkina Faso, and support organizations in the Quebec City region!

Throughout the 2019 season, during local games at PEPS, the Surmesur Foundation offered young basketball players from the Quebec City region a complimentary box, pizza and a meeting with a Rouge & Or basketball player.
The COVID-19 pandemic
changes everything.
In 2021, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the success of the two entrepreneurial brothers in importing medical protective equipment, the time was right to review the foundation's mission and activities. The trio asked their good friend Simon Gauthier to join them in this new adventure.
The Surmesur Foundation was thus renamed The 104 Foundation.
The 104 honors the memory of an apartment in which Catherine, Vincent, François and Simon all lived together for several years.
