Giving back through Jiu-Jitsu classes

An initiative by Deven Ye,

Head of Training and Development at Surmesur

Deven, a great jiu-jitsu enthusiast, wants to raise funds to donate to the 104 Foundation.

Deven's goal is to share his passion for jiu-jitsu and offer privileged advice to enthusiasts of the discipline in a formula of private lessons at Studio Mizu located in Montreal.

  • purple belt, under Val Astraverkhau (recognized trainer);

  • gold medallist in the USA in a tournament organized by the North American Grappling Association (NAGA);

  • responsible for teaching the 'Fundamental: Gi Jiu-Jitsu' program at Studio Mizu.

Deven's educational approach as a Jiu-Jitsu coach:

I'm passionate about teaching, which is why my role at Surmesur includes Director of Training and Development. I love Jiu-Jitsu and am constantly on the lookout for new knowledge. My patience and ability to break down complex ideas into simple steps is what makes me an excellent teacher. I am also genuinely happy and feel rewarded when I see others around me progress and develop new skills.

What's on offer:

- a one-hour private class with Deven;

- To register, simply make a donation to the Fondation 104 in the amount of your choice;

- For donations of $25 or more, a charitable tax receipt will be sent to you by Fondation 104.

Once you've made your donation, Deven will get in touch with you to plan the perfect time for your next class!
